Will accommodation be provided for the classes?
All classes are non-residential, students are responsible for their own room and board. Please see detailed travel files for NYC, Richmond VA and Toronto and Wakefield, MA. The Massachusetts classes are held at a hotel where there is a VH healing rate for students.
I may be arriving late as I am taking a red eye. Is that ok?
Late Arrivals on First Day may not be admitted to class and may be treated as a no-show. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE A RED-EYE FLIGHT TO CLASS
Can I leave early on the last day of class or miss a day in between?
Attendance for the entire class is mandatory for the class to be considered completed and a certificate given. Any exceptions must be cleared directly with the teacher.
What is an Early Registration Discount and how much is it? Are there additional costs?
Early Registration Discounts are offered when deposits are received by 1 month before the start of class. The discounts are:
$50 / 40 EU / £30 for 3-7 day classes
$30 / 25 EU / £20 for shorter classes
The amount that you see when you go the Registration page is what you pay. There are no additional costs.
How much is the deposit for the classes? Can I pay in full if I don’t want to pay just the deposit?
$300 / 250 EU / £150 for 4-7 day classes
$200 / 150 EU / £100 for 3 day classes
Full payment is required for 1 and 2-day classes.
Yes, you are welcome to pay in full.
How do I make the payments? Can I pay by check or credit card?
Our registration page has complete information on how to make payments. We accept credit cards through PayPal, you do not need to have a PayPal account to use your credit card. You can pay using your PayPal account as well. You can also pay by sending a check, detailed instructions and registration form are on the registration page as well.
Can I cancel at any time and get my money back?
We have a strict cancellation and refund policy. All cancellations are subject to an administration fees of $30 / 25 EU / £20.
Any ‘balance’ payments, in excess of required ‘deposits’, are fully refundable.
Refunds requested prior to a month before the class: full refund less the admin fee.
Requested prior to 2 weeks before class: ½ the deposit refunded, less the admin fee.
Requested less than 2 weeks before class: deposits are nonrefundable.
Once class has begun, all tuition payments (deposits + balances) are Non-Refundable.

Early Departures: for class credit, students cannot miss any part of a class without teacher’s ok. If a student does not complete the class due to missed segments, tuition payments are non-refundable.
Each bounced check incurs an Admin fee charge of $30 / 25 EU / £20.
Can I transfer the deposit to another class?
Deposits may be transferred only to classes taught by the same teacher.
Once a deposit is transferred, it is non-refundable; it must be used for a class.
Requested prior to one month before the class: transfer of full amount of deposit.
Requested prior to 2 weeks before the class: 1/2 of deposit transferred.
Requested within 2 weeks of the start of class: the deposit is Non-Transferable/ Non-Refundable.
If transferred more than once, only the first deposit is free of admin fees & must be used within 4 years of the original canceled class.
I have a child/teen who wants to take a class. What is the fee for that?
Anyone under the age of 18 who wants to take a class has to be cleared by the teacher. So, please contact the registrar before registering your child. Children and Teenagers receive 30% off.
I am a repeater. Do I get a discount?
Repeaters generally receive 25% discount off the price of the class, either the early bird or regular tuition, depending when deposit is made, if there is space in the class.
There is no repeater’s discount for Karmic Intensive or Deepening with Merlin. If you do not see a repeater’s discount specified on the registration page, please contact the registrar.
What if the teacher cancels the class, do I get my money back?
It is very rare that the teacher will cancel a class. Occasionally, low registration or other circumstances may force a cancellation or re-scheduling. In such situations, all payments can be refunded, but the student is responsible for the costs of canceled or re-booked travel arrangements and for any other costs incurred. If some kind of emergency forces the teacher to leave in the middle of the class, the teacher will try to find another Vortex teacher to take their spot. If this is not possible, then tuition payments will be refunded but students will still be responsible for other costs incurred. Also, Airline tickets should not be purchased earlier than 3 months before a class date.
What are your drug use policies?
We ask that students not use recreational drugs before or during class as these will strongly affect the body’s energetics and interfere with some of the transformative benefits of the class. (A glass of wine or a beer is fine.) If the drug use policy is violated, the student will need to drop out of class with no refund of tuition.
I have already registered for the class but have received no confirmation as yet.
You will automatically receive a confirmation once you register for a class if you pay via paypal. A detailed email will be sent within 72 hours with information about the location, time of the class and other details. Please check your spam folder in case you have not received it.
