Finding Presence in Your Relationship With Your Body

Finding Presence in Your Relationship With Your Body

Our body is something we can't get away from. Whether we like it or not, our physical form is the instrument through which we experience life. It is the container for our spirit and the vehicle through which we engage with reality as we know it.

Yet we rarely have the space to talk openly and honestly about the joys and challenges of having a body. Do we have patience with it? Do we feel shame about it? Take it for granted? What kind of care do we offer our form?

For many of us, especially those raised as girl children, our body is synonymous with our sense of worth. Often the insecurities and obsessions we have with our body drive our lives in ways we are afraid to even acknowledge. When we do discuss our bodies, we often compete to criticize ourselves and reinforce unrealistic ideals and unhealthy beauty standards.

In this special Finding Presence event on Wednesday, February 21st 7-8:30pm ET, we will explore our relationship with the physical form and the issues we struggle with through the process of embodiment and awakening.

Using the Finding Presence framework, Lorraine Goldbloom will guide participants through a deep exploration of the body and will offer a healing to nurture this important and essential relationship.
